Important Information for the 2018-2019 Season

All boys interested in taking advantage of this opportunity will be required to attend BOTH tryouts for evaluation. All participants will be evaluated using a rating system developed to help provide a fair assessment of each player’s basketball skill level and overall athletic ability. Each grade level will have two teams of approximately 8 players per team, depending on the number of boys registered.

All tryouts will be @ AWJHS. Please check in the day of your session(s) in the school cafeteria 20 minutes prior to your tryout time. Bring gym shoes and water; basketballs will be provided.

COST *: There is no cost to register or tryout. 3rd grade estimated cost is $300/player (includes uniform package); 4th grade estimated cost is $300; 5th grade estimated cost is $350; 6th grade cost is $350. Team costs include all league/tournament fees. Uniforms are not included unless otherwise noted. Costs are subject to change BUT will be finalized prior to roster spots being offered. Uniform packages if needed can be purchased for $90.

REGISTRATION: Walk in registration will be available, but pre-registration is preferred. You can register by visiting the AW Community Portal at www.awcommunity.net . Registration opens May 1st. Questions can be sent to awgtbboard@gmail.com .

(*): Total costs and schedules are determined by the leagues/tournaments that each coach chooses to play in. Coaches are responsible to present a proposed schedule and final cost at the time a roster spot is offered.

  • Registration & tryouts are FREE to all participants.
  • Tryout packets, outlining the process, for parents and participants will be provided via email prior to the first tryout.
  • BOTH sessions are @ AWJHS.
  • Please check in to the school cafeteria a minimum of 20 minutes prior to your scheduled session time.
  • Parents/guardians are asked to check in their son for each session so emergency contact information can be confirmed.
  • In order to minimize distractions for the boys, all sessions are closed to parents/guardians. We appreciate your cooperation!
  • Session I & II times are as follows: 3rd grade: 11:30 - 12:45; 4th grade: 12:45 - 2:00; 5th grade: 2:15 - 3:30 & 6th grade: 3:30 - 4:45.
  • Please bring your own water and clean gym shoes. Basketballs will be provided...please leave yours at home.
